Two icons. One designer: the Porsche 911 was Professor Ferdinand Alexander Porsche's first masterpiece. Its iconic flyline has shaped the world of sports cars. Equally legendary are the purist design principles of the 911. In 1972, Prof. F. A. Porsche applied them to his second masterpiece – for optimum readability, even at the highest cornering speeds. The Chronograph I made history as the first completely black timepiece. The Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition brings this heritage into the present – and onto your wrist. Similar to its revolutionary predecessor, it captivates with a matte black dial. Like the crown and clasp, it features the current Porsche Design logo. The sapphire crystal case back reveals the Porsche Design Icon winding rotor. The sapphire crystal with hard coating and 7-fold anti-reflective coating on both sides ensures optimum readability. The tachymeter scale and date display feature the current Porsche Design font, while the minute hand, with its unmistakable rectangular shape based on the original baton hand, has been supplemented with a tip for maximum precision on the surrounding minute track. Diameter: 30.00 mm. Water-resistant to 10 bar (dynamic). In short: a unique timepiece with motorsport DNA. The Chronograph 1 – All Black Numbered Edition pays homage to the unique and purist design of the all-black timepiece from 1972. Like all timepieces, the chronograph is manufactured with precise Swiss craftsmanship in our watch factory in Solothurn.
